The event was attended by heads of schools and Russian language centers, as well as teachers from Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
The delegates discussed the current problems and perspectives of teaching children of compatriots and mixed families the Russian language.
Teachers learnt about new opportunities having appeared in Russian schools. In connection with the development of school tests, the participants exchanged experience in teaching Russian in the countries of residence, discussed the educational and methodological content of the educational process, new approaches to learning, and the peculiarities of the development of bilingual children.
An international seminar of this format was launched in this region for the first time. It will promote the unification of approaches to the educational process in Russian schools in the Nordic countries.
