Russia will participate in the biggest India’s book fair

Main Russian publishing houses will represent its’ production during the 41th International Kolkata Book Fair with the assistance of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Kolkata.

Books from a number of Russian publishing houses will be at stand “Books of Russia”. Visitors  may see new Russian books of the serie dedicated to Russian Emperors - Nicolas II and Catherine I as well as famous writers and poets - Joseph Brodsky, Marina Tsvetaeva, Maxim Gorky and Alexander Pushkin.

More than 500 participants from more than 10 countries will take part in the oldest and biggest book fair in India. Traditional International Literature Festival as a part of the Kolkata Book Fair will last from February 2 to 4. Maxim Amelin, poet, essayist and translator, will represent Russia in this festival.

General Directorate of International Book Exhibitions and Fairs organizes Russian stand with the assistance of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata and the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Kolkata.
