With the assistance of Rossotrudnichestvo, Russia presented more than 500 pieces of classical, modern, science-popular and academic literature it the 26th Havana’s International Book Fair. Among the members of the delegation were Natalya Ivanova, specialist in literature, Alexander Livergart, translator and the chief editor of “Foreign Literature” editorial office, Dmitry Vigiljanskij, publicist and archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church, and Marina Boroditskaya, children’s book writer.
Guests of the Russian bookstalls were able to listen to lectures as well as participate in round tables, artistic meetings and various events for children and teenagers.
During the exhibition, the presentation of the translated into the Spanish language miscellany of Russian poetess, Olesia Nikolaevna, draw a lot of attention among the fair visitors. Aside from literally and discussion part, the miscellany presentation included performances of Russian folk songs and poems by Cuban singers and Russian compatriots.
A the end of the Book Fair, the Russian delegation donated several engravings of Andrey Kharshak, the Meritorious Artist of the Russian Federation, to the Museum of the Revolution and the Hemingway’s Cuba House.
